K Fisher Designs is a furniture and functional-design studio founded by Berry Schnetter. The work sits between home furniture, professional tools, material restraint, and the practical realities of how people sit, reach, build, and make.
The company operates under Art By Berry LLC as an early-stage design venture developing products and validating demand.
The K Fisher story
The name carries a standard.
K Fisher Designs is named for Berry’s grandmother, Karen Kay Fisher. She lived a hard life and never had much, but she was creative, resilient, honest, and hardworking. She knew how to make do, care for what she had, and do a job right.
That standard shapes the studio. The work is useful, thoughtful, and made to last. It is not decoration for its own sake. It is design meant to be used, lived with, and worth keeping.
About Berry
Furniture, making, and precision work.
Berry Schnetter studied furniture design at Iowa State University and has more than 15 years of professional experience as an artist and maker.
For many years, Berry also worked full time as a tattoo artist. Long sessions in forward-reaching, seated precision work exposed the shortcomings of tools and seating that are designed generically, instead of around how people actually work.
K Fisher Designs grows from that overlap: furniture education, studio fabrication, and direct experience with the physical and practical demands placed on working professionals.
Design approach
Useful first. Considered always.
K Fisher Designs develops furniture and tools that are purposeful, durable, and appropriate for the people who depend on them. Professional tools should travel with the professional.
The work is grounded in material behavior, ergonomics, and the details that emerge when a product is tested against real use instead of only a showroom image.
